Charleville & District RFC Host Stage 1 Coaching Workshop

Participants in the Stage 1 Coaching Course at Charleville & District RFC
The Munster Rugby Development Department recently held a Stage 1 Mini Rugby refresher workshop at Charleville and District RFC.
The workshop was designed for coaches of players who are being introduced to rugby for the first time (7-12 years old) and in games of reduced numbers (8s, 10s and 12-a-side).
The workshop focused on safety and enjoyment with the coach acting as a ‘guide’ in a player-centred process.
Coaches were also informed of game-sense coaching for stage 1 players and provided with information on rules and regulations for the different stages of mini rugby.
The workshop was organised by Munster Rugby Development Officer, Euan Gee, and Charleville & District RFC Youth Officer, Mikey Moran.
