17th October 2011 By Munster Rugby
Dé Céadaoin seo caite tionóladh an chéad Blitzchomórtas Tag Rugbaí do Scoileanna Náisiúnta riamh i gCorca Dhuibhne.
Ghlac ocht scoil náisiúnta, os gach aon cearn don leithins, páirt san ócáid a bhí á eagrú ag Shane O’Rourke agus Ray Gadsden ó Rugbaí na Mumhan.
Thug daltaí idir bhliana ón bPobalscoil aire dos na foirne agus ba é Colm Ó Sé, múinteoir áitiúil agus cóitseálaí an fhoireann sinsireach, a bhí ina réiteoir sna h-aon chluiche.
D’éiri thar barr leis an lá agus táthar dóchasach nach bhfuil anseo ach an tús agus go mbeidh neart ócáidí eile dá leithéid ar siúl amach anseo.
Last Wednesday saw the first ever National Schools Tag Rugby Blitz in West Kerry. Eight primary schools from all over the peninsula took part in the event co-ordinated by Munster Rugby’s Shane O'Rourke and Ray Gadsden.
Transition Year students from Pobal Scoil Chorca Dhuibhne looked after all the teams while local teacher and senior team coach Colm O’Se refereed all the games. The day was a huge success and it is hoped there will be many more events like this in the future.
