Clanwilliam F.C. Host Primary School Tag Blitz

Clanwilliam F.C. recently hosted a Primary School Tag Blitz attended by pupils from eight primary schools in the South Tipperary area.

This was the first encounter of playing rugby for most of the 8, 9 and 10 year old boys and girls who demonstrated obvious excitement along with a great combination of fun and keen competition.

Students from Monastery C.B.S, Cahir Boys School, Monard National School, St Michael’s Girls National School, St Joseph’s Convent School, Gael Scoil Thiobraid Árann, St Bridgets Primary School (Donaskeigh) and Shronell National School all participated on the day.

Musnter Rugby would like to thank transition year students from the Abbey CBS and St Anne’s Secondary School, who refereed the games and coordinated the organising of the blitz in conjunction with Munster Rugby.

Community Rugby Officers, Munster Rugby, were delighted to introduce over 170 youths to the game of rugby in the hope that they will continue with the sport.

Mini Rugby training sessions at Clanwilliam F.C. are held on Saturday mornings from 10.30 a.m. and all are welcome to attend.
