Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup Action Returns

The Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup competition returns this week with a first round double-header taking place at Irish Independent Park on Wednesday 23 January.

Rockwell College and St Munchin’s College will meet in the first of two matches taking place at the Cork venue (kick-off 12.30pm) before High School Clonmel take on Bandon Grammar School at 2.45pm.

The first round of the Schools Junior Cup competition will commence next week with the same opponents, High School Clonmel and Bandon Grammar, meeting at Irish Independent Park on Tuesday 29 January, 2pm.

Crescent College Comprehensive and Glenstal Abbey School face one another at Thomond Park on Wednesday 30 January, 2pm, in their respective first round encounters.

The two winners of the first round matches across both Junior and Senior competitions will progress into the last-eight stage with four of those teams getting a home draw.

The Senior Cup quarter-finals will take place during the week commencing February 11 with the Junior Cup quarter-finals being played during the week beginning February 25.

The Senior Cup semi-finals are scheduled for the week beginning March 4 with the Junior Cup last-four stage taking place during the week commencing March 11.

The final of the Senior Cup will take place on the week beginning March 18 with the Junior Cup final set for the week beginning March 25.
