Clement’s Surprise Glenstal In Junior Cup Play-Off

A dramatic win for St. Clement’s in the play-off round of the Clayton Hotels Schools Junior Cup at the 4GUL pitch as they came from 17-10 down with two late tries for a 20-17 victory over Glenstal Abbey.
Glenstal opened the scoring with a penalty after thirteen minutes from Josh Kennedy but Clement’s responded immediately with a try from Adam McNamara which Cian Casey converted.
The sides were level 10-10 at half time with Casey kicking a penalty for Clements and Glenstal replying with a try by Kennedy and converted by Will Twomey.
Midway through the second half Glenstal went ahead with a try from Adam White which Twomey converted.
Tries from Casey and Tarkan Pinarci in the final minutes saw St. Clements book their place in the quarter final draw.
