Bandon RFC enjoyed a memorable year during the 2017/18 season with the club winning the Munster Junior League for the second time and their U18 side crowned All-Ireland Champions following Munster U18 Cup and Munster U16 Bowl success.

This coming season, there will be a continued focus on age-grade rugby with over 70 coaches developing the skills of approximately 350 youth and mini players.

The Women’s team will compete in Division 2 this year and the club are hoping to increase women and girls’ participation in the sport (https://www.facebook.com/bandonwomensrfc/).

There are several new appointments with Andre Human from South Africa replacing Regis Sonne as Director of Rugby for both the club and Bandon Grammar School.

Dan Murphy comes in as Club President and Kerry Desmond has been announced as Captain for the 2018/19 season.

Bandon are also putting plans in place to enhance their grounds through a capital development programme, which will provide the club with new floodlights, dressing rooms and an improved drainage system.

The club have organised a series of fundraisers to support their development programme with the Dungeon of Doom taking place from Saturday 27 of October until Monday 29 October (http://bandonrugby.com/dungeon-of-doom-2018/) and a Lip Sync Battle hosted by the club on Saturday 24 November (http://bandonrugby.com/lip-sync-battle/).
