Last Wednesday we had the pleasure of having Keith Earls, Ivan Dineen , Dave O Callaghan and James Cronin come down and train with the club. They met with all our squads starting with our minis and working their way up to our men’s team who they took a training session with. It was a great experience for all in the club particularly our youth’s who were delighted to meet their hero’s . Before they took the training session with our seniors and U-18s the lads came in and had a chat about personal responsibility, nutrition , preparation and attitude towards training which the entire squad found beneficial. The training session itself was a success with some great advice and tips given by the guys. We would like to thank Munster Rugby and the players themselves for coming to our club where they will always be welcome.

Tralee RFC

In memory of Tralee RFC Club member Donal Walsh, there will be a Rugby Legends Malin to Mizen Head cycle in association with C.R.O.S.S. supporting cancer research at St. James Hospital and Trinity College.

For the inaugural event last September Donal joined the cycle from Mizen to Molls Gap as a backup assistant and then cycled from Molls Gap to Killarney. He then led the cyclists into his home town of Tralee. This year the organisers asked Donal’s family if the tour could do something in Donal’s honour and they came up with www.crossdonalsmountain.com a half day stage joining the 2013 Rugby Legends Cycle from Tralee to Molls Gap. Fionnbar, Donal’s Dad will lead out the cycle, and will be joined by former Ireland International Paul Wallace and a host of fellow international rugby legends.
