Club Notes | Cobh Pirates Host Coláiste Muire For First Competitive Rugby Game

The latest edition of club notes come from Cobh Pirates RFC.

Cobh Pirates hosted a great game last week between Coláiste Muire Cobh and Pobal Scoil na Trionoide Youghal in the O’Brien Cup.

This was the Cobh school’s first entry into competitive rugby, or possibly rugby of any kind in many years.

Coláiste Muire ran 22-3 winners winners with tries from Ryan Abramson, Adam Dolan, Dylan Keenan and Rìan McGrath while Brandon Joy notched one conversion.

It was a great day for the Coláiste Muire Cobh and Cobh Pirates partnership, with the team being coached by Killian Barry, a teacher in the school and also a Pirate.

Coláiste Muire Cobh will now face Newtown School in the next round of the O’Brien Cup.
