Hosting of Women’s World Cup Tour.

We had a wonderful day for the Club on 22nd May where we had the honour of Hosting the Women’s World Cup Tour, This is IRFU promotion this August where Dublin & Belfast will host Womens World Cup, where the best international womens teams will play. Listowel Rugby Girls Section.welcomed National and Secondary Schools to take Part in a Once in Life Time opportunity to See the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Listowel Town Park. The Listowel Girls Section was established 3 seasons ago and since then they have had fantastic success in winning a Treble in the U18 Munster Cups this season going unbeaten,  which is unprecedented and also our U15 won the 2 Munster cup since we have started. Listowel RFC:  Fun, Friends, Fitness !

Earlier Tralee RFC  had the Cup on 22nd April, where Morna Dixon in her first year has had great response from girls trying rugby and loving it. Cant waiting for next season to start.

Civic Reception – U18 Girls

U18 Girls Treble Munster Winners where acknowledged for their Munster achievements this season by Mayor of Listowel Cllr A Thornton and members of the Municipal District of Listowel. This team was established 3yrs ago and had a steep learning curve to compete with the more established clubs in the province. This season was extradionary as they became Champions of The League, Cup and 7’s Munster Winners by not losing a game throughout the whole season. We must acknowledge the work and committment from our coaches and also our rugby family from Tralee RFC who we have a great relationship and shared passion of promoting girls and womens rugby in Kerry. Big thanks must go to our Listowel Rugby committee that from the start they have supported our girls Section.
