Cobh Pirates Tripp to Tipp 11th and 12th of June 2016

I must warn road users between Cobh and Limerick junction that the time of year has come around again when a bunch of x-rugby players from Cobh Pirates head off on a cycle for charity. (The "Rugby Tour" will never be the same again J ).

We will be cycling from Cobh to Limerick Junction in Co Tipperary on Saturday the 11th of June and returning to Cobh on Sunday the 12th of June. (125km each way)
I would be grateful if you can afford to support our charity this year which is the Cork Association for Autism.
You can either donate on line by using the following link https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/11259514_stephen-mulvihill-s-fundraising-page.html or I also have a sponsorship card if you prefer to donate that way.

Thanking you in advance.

Charity Information
The Cork Association for Autism provide person centred supports and skill development programmes for adults with autism over the age of 18. It was set up in 1978 by a group of parents of children with autism who were frustrated by the lack of supports available for families at the time. The organisation has grown dramatically over the last number of years as demand for services continues to grow. Over 300 adults now avail of support services which include:

  • Residential Care
  • Respite
  • Day Service
  • Home Support
  • Asperger Syndrome Support Service

The core objective of the Association is to provide best-in-class services and deliver individual focused care plans for as many individuals as possible in the region. Their mission is to ensure that those availing of services and their families have a quality of life that we all aspire to. For more information log onto www.corkautism.ie.

Ballyrandle Cup Final – 3 in a row for City!
Waterford City travelled to Dungarvan on Sunday to face Clonmel RFC in the Ballyrandle Cup final. In excellent weather conditions City got off to a good start with a try shortly after the whistle. City continued on their scoring way and ran out comfortable winners in the end. Congratulations to Stephan Walsh on his man of the match performance. Thanks to Dungarvan for hosting the game and as always many thanks to out sponsors Kingfisher Club and DoneDealjobs.ie.

Mini's and Youth's end of season fun day.
Sunday was also a busy day for our Mini's and Youth's teams who enjoyed their end of season fun day in Kilbarry. Fun rugby games, bouncy castles and a well-earned BBQ was the schedule for the morning. Congratulations to Isobel Dixon and Damien Dixon who were worthy winners of the Johnny Whelan award for all their hard work and dedication to the Mini's section of our club.
The following were our player of the years for each of our youth teams.

Under 18's Ian Kelly
Under 16's Thomas Hennessy
Under 15's Paddy O Donovan
Under 14's JJ Hynes
Under 13's Ewan Hayes
Well done all!!

AGM
The AGM will be held this Wednesday May 11th at 7.30pm in the clubhouse in Kilbarry. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
