Old Crescent RFC holds successful golf classic at Limerick Golf Club
Old Crescent RFC held a very successful Golf Classic at Limerick Golf Club on Thursday and Friday, 11/12th August 2016. The annual fund raising event, held in association with the St Vincent De Paul Society, was well supported with over 50 teams taking part. Participants enjoyed excellent golf in mixed weather conditions. The main sponsors of the event were Keane’s Jewellers, Limerick.
After a highly competitive event, the eventual winners were a team from South’s Bar led by publican Richard Hickey with John Reilly and Flan Connolly. The Inver Energy team of Jane Gleeson, Jamie Browne and Gerry Gleeson took second place, and the Bridgestone Tyres team comprised of Old Crescent players, Brian Clancy, Larry Hanly and Jack O’Neill, came third.
The prizes were presented in Limerick Golf Club by Peter Doyle, Junior Vice President of Old Crescent RFC, and Aidan Liddy of Keane’s Jewellers, Limerick, main sponsors of the Old Crescent RFC Golf Classic.
