This Saturday our annual Family Fun day is on in the club, we have loads of activities and games on throughout the day for all the family. This event is always a huge day for the club; and we invite all players, families, supporters and local residents to come down and join in.
The main event of the day will be the mixed tag rugby competition kicking off at 12.30pm. Registration starts at 12pm, if you have a team please get in contact ASAP as places are limited. Just remember that all teams must have 2 girls on the pitch at all times and the more girls on the pitch the more points you get. The cost off a team is only €120. The Prize for the Winners of the tag tournament is the Mick Halpin Trophy, and this year we will also have a player of the tournament award.

Everyone is welcome to come down and Join us, in what will be a great day.

Rugby, Rucksacks, Rasher Rolls and Rollercoasters.
Ashbourne RFC minis are looking forward to welcoming U9 and U12 squads from clubs across all four Irish provinces and further afield for the second Ashbourne RFC/Tayto Park Rugby Festival and Campout. The games will be played on the four fantastic pitches at Milltown House.
After the success of last year's inaugural event many clubs who attended have already registered teams to return for the fun event which will take place on Saturday the 24th and Sunday 25th of September,2016.
Visiting teams will arrive from early afternoon on the Saturday and first up there will be plenty of rugby played into the early evening followed by the pitching of tents with the assistance of the local scout troops, dinner ,team building activities and music and fun until lights out.
After a good night's rest the players, their coachs and parents will be able to enjoy a cooked breakfast before heading off to the nearby Tayto Park to enjoy the fantastic new Cu Chullain Roller coaster and the many other attractions of Tayto Park.
If your club would like to register some teams to participate at either or both age levels in what promises to be a great rugby weekend further event details, briefing and costs are available on the Ashbourne RFC Facebook page and at www.ashbournerugby.ie or simply email ashbournerfcminis@gmail.com to request.
It is a great way for players to get back together with their teammates after the summer break, in addition the lads create friendships and rivalries with other clubs that they will enjoy throughout their rugby career.
What better way to kick off an enjoyable 2016/17 season.
Ashbourne RFC looks forward to welcoming you and early registration is advised.
