#MunsterRestartsHere Club Sessions Commence
31st July 2020 By The Editor
The Munster Rugby Development staff commenced their club visits this week with the #MunsterRestartsHere campaign kicking off in Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford.
Staff are making their way around the province to facilitate dedicated sessions for younger players with no Summer Camps taking place this summer, and to aid clubs with their #ReturnToRugby.
Clubs can nominate their minis or age grade grouping for Munster Rugby hosted sessions with the focus either on skill development, a specific area of coaching, or just fun rugby games.
First up was Killarney RFC on Monday afternoon as Ray Gadsden, Ken Imbusch and Willie Shubart held two sessions with the Under 14 and Under 16 Girls.
Despite the wet conditions it was onto Waterford City on Wednesday with Gerry Casey and Brendan O’Connor working with the club’s Under 14 and 16 Boys.
Garryowen FC welcomed Euan Gee and Fiach O’Loughlin to their session with some of their young representatives and coaches.
The week finished with a visit to Youghal RFC with Ray Gadsden and Brendan O’Connor again on hand to coach the Under 14 and 16 Boys.
If your club has completed the Covid-19 compliant safety plan and wants to get involved, please email Munster Rugby Participation Programmes Coordinator Ray Gadsden, raygadsden@munsterrugby.ie
