Coach Development Host Courses This October

The Munster Rugby Coach Development Department are hosting a comprehensive programme of coaching courses and events throughout the month of October.

There are Stage 1 and Stage 2 coaching courses running throughout this month, with an interactive workshop from the internationally-renowned coaching consultant, Dr. Wade Gilbert, scheduled as a highlight.

Gilbert will host a ‘Coaching Better Every Day’ workshop at Thomond Park Stadium on Monday 15 October, focusing on the best principles in coaching, while also sharing his experiences in the field, coaching strategies and insight.

Gilbert is an award-winning professor from the Department of Kinesiology at California State University and holds degrees in Physical Education, Human Kinetics, and Education from the University of Ottawa.

The principles and strategies shared in Gilbert’s interactive lecture are based on lessons learned from over 25 years of studying, teaching, and working with some of the most successful coaches around the world, including coach of the 20th century, John Wooden.
