Coaching Workshop In Old Crescent

The Munster Rugby Development Department recently ran a Stage 2 coaching workshop at Old Crescent RFC.
Andy Brace and Fiach O'Loughlin co-ordinated the course that focused on the breakdown and how players can be effective before, during and after the tackle.
21 coaches, from the U-13s side right up to senior level, were in attendance on the night.
The workshop began with a presentation indoors before moving outside with 15 players from the U-16 side helping out on the pitch as the practical elements were put into practice.

Brace continued: "There
are coaches attending these workshops who are also working in Crescent College Comprehensive so that way we can build a link between the club and the school.

"This follows the workshop that we did in Old Crescent a few months ago where we dealt with continuity in contact.
"After Christmas then we’ll look into the general movement groups so that will be the follow-up," he added.
