Coaching Workshops In Bantry

Some of the U16 boys in Bantry who worked on breakdown skills - Ray Gadsden

Bantry is beginning to become a hotbed of rugby activity over the past number of years, and Munster Coaching Development Officer Ray Gadsden was once again left impressed by the skills shown at two recent workshops in the West Cork town.

Tuesday evening saw U16 and U14 players participate in a number of workshops around the tackle and the breakdown, two areas in which these young players will have undoubtedly learned an enormous amount of useful information.

The picture above are the U16s who worked on breakdown skills and breakdown roles while their U14 counterparts worked on tackle technique, crucial aspects of everyday play.

Thanks to the Bantry coaches who attended, Damien Hicks who coordinated the workshops, and Community Rugby sponsor Marks & Spencer.
