Cobh Girls’ And Ladies’ Tag Rugby Programme

Cobh Pirates is starting a new initiative next week to build the numbers playing both ladies’ and girls’ rugby through a tag programme beginning on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11.

Tag rugby is a non-contact game open to people of all ability levels, with a strong emphasis on fun and social participation.

The Cobh Pirates U-16 girls side recently won a competition to play at the half-time during the Ireland v France Women's 6 Nations match at Ashbourne.

The competition was run by Munster Rugby with girls' sides from across the province invited to send in a video showcasing their rugby skills and highlighting their team's unique features.
