Colaiste na Sceige U15 squad are currently preparing for the West Munster Emerging Schools Blitz which kicks off next week.

The Cahersiveen school, under the guidance of teacher Paul Clifford and Munster Community Rugby Officer Ray Gadsden, have taken part in basic drills and rugby techniques over the last few weeks as they look forward to competing against neighbouring schools in upcoming fixtures.

Munster rugby will be running blitz days throughout the province for secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools.

The programme was rolled out throughout the province last season as Munster Rugby continues to focus on introducing and developing the game in conjunction with its overall player recruitment initiatives.

This initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club.
