Cork Colleges Tag Blitz

The Cork Institute of Technology recently hosted the inaugural Cork Colleges Tag Blitz with students competing from CIT, CSN, College of Commerce and St John’s College.

This event included six mixed teams of fifteen in a round robin format with eighteen games in total played over the course of the day.

The Munster Rugby Domestic Game Department took the initiative of introducing this event with a view to further developing rugby at college level and was delighted with the success of the day.

We would like to thank CIT Rugby Officer Dave Oliver, Youth Development Officer Ray Bourke and Munster Rugby Development Officers Finny O’Regan, John O’Neill and Gemma Crowley, for all their assistance and support on the day and look forward to Cork College Tag Blitzs’ becoming a regular feature in the South Munster Colleges annual rugby calendar.
