Cork Primary School Blitz Attracts Numbers

Munster Rugby Development recently held a primary school blitz in Wilton, Cork, with over 400 boys and girls attending the event.

The blitz was organised by Munster Community Rugby Officer, Eugene McCarthy, with the TY students of Presentation Brothers College and Christian Brothers College coaching and refereeing school teams, supported by Munster Development staff.

The schools included: Scoil Eoin, PBC, CBC, Rahan National School, Glasheen Boys National School, Clondrohid National School, Scoil Mhuire Lourdes, Monkstown National School, Ringaskiddy National School, Summercove National School, Inchigeela National School, Kilbarry National School, Leamlara National School, Canovee National School, St Joseph’s National School and St Anthony’s Boys National School.

A Parade of Nations also took place before the blitz with schools adopting a country for the day, as Kilbarry’s USA emerged with the winning representation.
