Cork Senior Club Coaches Workshop
15th February 2012 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby Coach Development Department ran a number of Coaching Workshops over the past week in four Cork AIL clubs.
Sundays Well, Highfield, Dolphin and Midleton all hosted individual workshops in their respective clubs with the general theme being 'Coaching through the Game Sense Approach'.
Each club provided senior and/or U21 players to participate in the workshop where the General movement themes of breakdown (life of the ball), decision making (early group) and support player activities (axis group) were the main emphasis of development. Each activity demonstrated developed into a game environment focussing on the development of player game appreciation.
Coaches interacted throughout the session followed by a debrief by Munster Coach Development Officers for general feedback and an option trouble shoot ideas.
Munster Rugby would like to thank each of the senior clubs for hosting the workshops and all coaches for their participation and positive feedback.
Should your school or club wish to host a Coach Development Workshop please contact your designated Coach Development Officer.
