Crescent College Progress In Schools Junior Cup

Crescent College advanced to the next round of the Clayton Hotels Schools Junior Cup with an impressive performance against Bandon Grammar School at Thomond Park where they ran out 27-12 winners.

It was Crescent who made the better start racing into a 5-0 lead with a try from Brandon Nash. Bandon Grammar got themselves back into the game and were rewarded with a try from Peter Symington which Dylan Hicks converted five minutes before the interval.

A sweeping Crescent move on the stroke of half time was finished off by winger Nash to give the Limerick side a 12-5 lead with Ciaran Campbell converting.

Three minutes into the second half Crescent extended their advantage with a try from Jed O’Dwyer and Campbell added a penalty.

Bandon kept themselves in contention with a try from Aaron O’Reilly but a fourth try by Luke Ryan converted by Campbell two minutes from time completed the scoring.
