Crescent Host CBC In Junior Cup Final Replay

Crescent College Comprehensive host defending champions Christian Brothers College on Wednesday, 6th April at Thomond Park Stadium in the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup final replay (2.30pm).

In a thrilling final on March 16th at Irish Independent Park, the sides finished level at 16 a-piece to book their third meeting in this year’s Junior Cup campaign.

Both schools last met for the first time in Round 1 of the competition in January at Thomond Park Stadium. Crescent College Comprehensive were the victorious side on the day resulting in CBC reaching this year's final through the back door system.

The Senior and Junior Cup double will be on the minds of the Cork side as they set out to emulate the success of their senior counterparts who defeated Crescent in the Schools Senior Cup final last March.

Crescent will hope to bring the Junior Cup back to Dooradoyle which they last claimed in 2011 under the captaincy of Gearoid Lyons.

CBC have 17 titles to their credit since the cup’s inception in 1932 while Crescent College have won the cup on 6 occasions.
