Crescent Into Junior Cup Final

Crescent College progressed to the final of the SEAT Munster Schools Junior Cup after an 8-5 win over Castletroy in the first ever schools game to be played under the lights at Thomond Park.

John Hurley's penalty proved the difference between the sides with Crescent to face the winners of tomorrow's PBC v CBC clash at Irish Independent Park (ko 2pm).

The game was scoreless at half-time with Castletroy taking the lead in the second half through Conor Bermingham's try.

Conor Phillips hit back with Crescent's first score of the game to level the tie at 5 apiece and Hurley's penalty secured the win.""Crescent College’s Darragh Cullimore and Mike Ryan of Castletroy College
