Crescent Into Schools Senior Cup Quarters

Crescent College Comprehensive advanced to the quarter-finals of the Clayton Hotels Munster Senior Schools Cup after a 31-7 win over St. Clement’s College at Thomond Park.
Crescent, after their heavy defeat by Christians last week, were off the mark quickly with a try from Mark Edwards after five minutes with Mark Shanahan converting.
They doubled their lead ten minutes before the break when John Blake scored their second try and Shanahan added the extras.
Clement’s came back into the game with a try by Michael Kiely and John Bateman converted to leave Crescent 14-7 ahead at half-time.
Crescent made sure of their place in the quarter-final draw with further tries from Karl Moloney, Conor Fitzgerald and Aaron Cosgrove and a conversion by Shanahan.
