Crosshaven Pick Up Another Award

Crosshaven were the July monthly recipients of the Southside and District Sports Awards at a function in the Cork International Airport Hotel for their success in winning the All Ireland Junior Cup.

Their was a big attendance at the function including former club player and current Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney TD and County Mayor Cllr Tim Lombard.

Carmel Lonergan Operations Manager Cork International Airport presented the award to Crosshaven’s President Jamie O’Mahony.

Jamie O’Mahony said “that last season was a momentous one in the thirty nine year history of the club. Over the years hundreds of people helped build the club. The promotion of a juvenile structure during the late 80’s helped re-energise matters. I would also like to thank all the previous coaches for their work and continued interest in the club."

"This award comes at a timely juncture, because the club wants to remain as one of the top Junior clubs and aspire to becoming a Senior club”.

Club Captain Ross O’Connell applauded Coaches Dave Keane and Sean Conway and also paid a glowing tribute to the club supporters.
