CSN, Nenagh & Kanturk Summer Camps Finish Up

Jean Kleyn and Chris Farrell meet the boys and girls at the Nenagh Summer Camp.

It really has been a summer to remember for kids from all over the province, as they have great fun improving their skills, and meeting some of their heros at the Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps.

A fantastic experience for the kids, their coaches, and the returning players, who took time out on their day off to pay visits to camps this week at CSN Cork, Nenagh and Kanturk.

Some international stars paid a visit to the three venues this week, with Jean Kleyn and Chris Farrell in Nenagh, while Ian Keatley and Rhys Marshall dropped in to Kanturk RFC to meet the young boys and girls.

Billy Holland and Duncan Williams were very impressed with the children at the Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa camp, where they were treated to an impressive rendition of the New Zealand haka.

Next week will be the final camps of 2017  and will be taking place in Newcastle West, Old Crescent and Skibbereen where all participants will be hoping for the fine weather to continue in what has been a fantastic summer.

Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 to 12 years old and take place over one week (Monday through to Friday inclusive) between 9:30am and 1:30pm.

The current crop of boys and girls will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as teamwork, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking.
