Cyril Fitzgerald Immediate Past President R.I.P.

It was with great sadness on Thursday 29th March that Munster Rugby learnt of the passing of the Immediate Past President of the Munster Branch Cyril Fitzgerald at the age of 72.
Cyril was a member of Dolphin where he played scrum half.
In the 1992/1993 season he was elected President of Dolphin the first year the club played in the All Ireland League.
He was elected Dolphin’s delegate to the Munster Branch in 1998 and was on that Committee up the time of his passing. He was elected President of the Munster Branch for season 2010/11.
He also served eight years as a Munster delegate to the IRFU from 2002 to 2011.
Munster Rugby would like to extend their deepest sympathy to his wife Veronica, his children Geraldine, Edward, Jill and Aiden, his brother John and sister Edna.
Reception Prayers on Monday next at 11.30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ballinlough followed by Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. Oliver’s Cemetery, Model Farm Road, Cork.
All Dolphin club activities at Musgrave Park for the weekend have been cancelled as a mark of respect.
