Dates And Venues For Concussion Workshops

The dates and venues have been confirmed for the six Concussion Awareness Workshops that will be hosted by the Munster Rugby Development Department, in conjunction with the IRFU, over the coming months.
All Club and School coaches and officials are encouraged to attend the workshops which are free of charge.
The first of these workshops will be hosted in PBC, Cork on Monday 17th November at 7pm. There will be three further Concussion Awareness Workshops in December in Killarney, Bandon and Ennis.
The workshops will continue into the new year in Clanwilliam and Limerick IT with a timetable below. Please contact janeburns@munsterrugby.ie to register your place for a workshop – the deadline for booking a place on Monday's workshop is 1pm tomorrow.

Dr. Garrett Coughlan, the IRFU's Medical Coordinator, will host the workshops which will include modules relating to Concussion Recognition Management and Return to Play protocols followed by a Question and Answer session.
The content has been designed to educate coaches, parents, players and referees on the dangers of concussion and how to recognise it.
Please note places are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
