Defeat For UCC At Donnybrook
14th February 2015 By Munster Rugby
U.C.C. hopes of avoiding relegation from Division 2A of the Ulster Bank League received another setback, when they lost away to leaders Old Wesley at Donnybrook.
Old Wesley 34, U.C.C. 12.
With just four games remaining in the Ulster Bank League, U.C.C. will have it all to do to avoid the drop after their defeat against Old Wesley who have made it eleven wins from eleven and look odds on to be playing in Division 1 next season.
Yellow cards to both Kieran Frost and Kevin Kidney at crucial stages proved costly to the students as they conceded ten points on each occasion when they were down to fourteen players.
Charlie O’Regan scored a try on the stroke of half-time for College as they trailed 17-5 at the interval.
College’s best spell came mid way through the second half but their only reward was a try by Dean Nolan which Cillian Monahan converted.
