Development Squad Training Programme Begins For 2014

A development day was held at UL in early January for four Munster Representative team squads who have commenced their 2014 training programme which will lead into the interprovincial series in September.

The U18 Club and U18 Schools squads worked through a full day that consisted of fitness testing in the morning followed by skill development work in the afternoon.

Both the U19 and U20 squads spent the morning engaged in skill development sessions and meetings.

The scheduled programme was to include trial matches for the two U18 squads the following day but due to the inclement weather causing pitch closures across the province these had to be postponed.

All four squad will continue with their interprovincial preparations over the coming months under the guidance of their respective Munster Rugby management teams and coaches.
