Munster Rugby Development staff take part in SAFE Rugby training

The Munster Rugby Development Department recently took part in an IRFU SAFE Rugby first aid training course at Irish Independent Park.

The SAFE Rugby – Standard Approach to Field Emergencies in Rugby – programme aims to provide rugby specific, pitch-side emergency care training and skills to medical staff and non-medical individuals involved at all levels within Irish Rugby.

Over 30 Munster Rugby Development staff participated in the training, including those who coach underage players on a daily basis, and there was a specific emphasis on the graduated return to play (GRTP) protocols.
