Dolphin Coaches Attend Workshop

Munster Rugby recently ran a Coach Development Workshop in Dolphin RFC for the club’s Stage 2, 3 and 4 Coaches.

The workshop was based on the theory of ‘best practice’ focusing on passing and receiving, with the tackle also being the main emphasis.

Other areas work-shopped were the breakdown both in attack and defense based on a game sense approach. Dolphin’s U17 and U19 players were on hand to assist with the development of the coaches’ practical module identifying the players’ skills within game like scenario’s.

A theory based presentation followed, which identified the importance of ‘Principles of Play’, the benefits of the ‘Game Sense’ Approach and how to develop players ‘Cognitive’ Ability.
