Dolphin RFC Implement ‘Silent Side-Lines’

Dolphin RFC recently engaged with the IRFU’s Spirit of Rugby campaign by organising ‘Silent Side-lines’ at an U13 match.

The initiative is designed to demonstrate excellent side-line behaviour, showcasing the value of ‘Respect’ throughout a club and the rugby community.

The feedback from minis and youth players and coaches who have taken part in this initiative to date has been incredibly positive and the IRFU are calling for more players to have this positive experience of rugby.

‘Silent Side-lines’ is the IRFU’s ‘Spirit of Rugby’ programme’s first promotional initiative and reminds those on the side-lines of children’s matches to remember that kids play for fun and to ‘let them play.’

The IRFU ‘Spirit of Rugby’ programme, which was launched back in September, is a series of practical and educational programmes that embody and promote the core values of the game – Respect, Inclusivity, Integrity, Fun and Excellence.
