Double Up With ‘Your Club, Your Country’

The IRFU has introduced a new element to this year’s ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Draw fundraising scheme for clubs.

This year all clubs that sell 80% of their tickets will be entered into a second draw where Ulster Bank will double the money raised by one lucky club.

The Ulster Bank-backed initiative allows clubs to sell up to 1,000 tickets at €;10 per ticket and retain 100% of the ticket sale revenue.

The IRFU and its partners supply the prizes for the 'Your Club, Your Country' Grand Draw, ensuring clubs reap the maximum benefit from the fundraising scheme.

In 2013 the 'Your Club, Your Country' Grand Draw raised over €;530,000 for the 142 participating clubs. The scheme has raised almost €;2,000,000 for clubs to date.

Registration is now open to clubs for the 2014 'Your Club, Your Country' Grand Draw.

Louis Magee, President of the IRFU, commented: "The 'Your Club, Your Country' Grand Draw is a great fundraising vehicle for clubs and the IRFU would like to thank all of its partners for their continued support of this important revenue generator for clubs. Special mention must also go to Ulster Bank for supporting the new double your money element of this year's draw."

Clubs can register for the 'Your Club, Your Country' Grand Draw by contacting the IRFU. The main draw will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 and will be broadcast by Irish Rugby TV on www.irishrugby.ie.

The secondary draw for clubs that have sold over 80% of their tickets will take place during the 2015 RBS 6 Nations Championship.

Once registered for the scheme, clubs will receive 'Your Club, Your Country' Grand Draw packs from Monday, October 13 which will contain promotional posters and the all-important Grand Draw tickets. All sold and unsold tickets must be returned to the IRFU before 5pm on Friday, December 5, 2014.
