The upset of the day was at Temple Hill where Clanwilliam defeated Cork Constitution 26-25 in a thrilling contest. The visitors raced into a 13-0 lead with a try from Vivian Grisewood and a conversion and two penalties by Niall Leahy after thirty minutes.

A try by John O’Callaghan and a conversion and a penalty from Eoin Lacey left Clanwilliam 13-10 ahead at half time. The Tipperary side added a second try from Jack O’Dwyer and a conversion and penalty by Leahy but tries from Harry Murphy, Jamie Murphy and Luke Duffy had the home side in front 25-23 with ten minutes remaining. Five minutes from time Leahy kicked his fourth penalty to send Clanwilliam through to the semi finals.

Bandon had to battle hard for their 10-3 home win over Cashel. Playing with the wind in the opening half a Kerry Desmond penalty after thirty minutes had Bandon 3-0 ahead at the interval.
A try from Tom Ferguson following an off load from prop Colin Jackson extended Bandon’s lead with Desmond adding the extras. Ryan O’Donnell replied with a late penalty for Cashel.

Holders Young Munster defeated Highfield 9-5 at Tom Clifford Park. Paul Downes opened the scoring with a penalty for Munster’s after six minutes. David Hayes replied with a try for Highfield on fifteen minutes but a second Downes penalty left the Cookies 6-5 ahead at the break. The only score of the second half was a third Downes penalty ten minutes from time.

Clonmel got the better of Richmond at Garryowen Green with a 27-10 victory. Four penalties from Conor Cooney to one by Brian Mullins gave Clonmel a 12-3 interval lead. Alex Sheehan extended Clonmel’s lead with a try but Richmond hit back with a try from Sean Bennett which Mullins converted. It was Clonmel who finished the stronger, a penalty by Cooney and a conversion of a Dylan Cadogan try booked the Tipperary side’s place in the last four.

The semi finals which are scheduled for 26th March sees Bandon hosting Clonmel and Clanwilliam will entertain Young Munsters.

In the Bank of Ireland Junior Plate Nenagh Ormond defeated Castleisland 13-0 to reach the final.

David Mackey and Niall O’Gorman scored tries for Nenagh and Michael Walsh kicked a penalty.

Thurles defeated Presentation 52-0 to setup a home semi final against Mallow. Shane Moloney scored two tries for Thurles. Aidan Dwyer, Tommy Stephens, Paddy Phelan, Eoin O’Dwyer, Kieran Ryan and Joseph Kelly got one each. Aidan Dwyer kicked six conversions.

Dungarvan won the Munster Junior Bowl Final defeating Fethard 13-10. Martin Houlihan scored Dungarvan’s try and David Hickey added a conversion and two penalties. Gary Kavanagh replied with a try, conversion and a penalty for Fethard.

Muskerry defeated Skibbereen 13-3 in a relegation clash in Division One of the Munster Junior League. It was 8-0 to Muskerry at half time with Shane Burke scoring a try and a penalty. Skibb’ closed the gap with a penalty from Denis McCarthy but a try from Rob O’Mahony earned Muskerry the spoils.

Division Two champions Waterpark brushed aside Charleville’s challenge with a 49-3 away victory. In a closely contested first half a try and conversion from Alex Molloy gave the visitors a 7-3 lead. Two tries each from Molloy, Scott Hornibrook and one each by Derry O’Driscoll and Rory Hannon ensured maximum points for Waterpark. Molloy kicked five second half conversions and Hannon one.

Crosshaven were defeated 15-10 at home to Kinsale. David Cowhig and Josh Barrett were try scorers for Kinsale and Sean Kingston kicked a conversion and a penalty. Jamie Kind replied with a try for Crosshaven which Tim Madden converted and Michael Lynch kicked a penalty.

Killorglin advanced to the semi finals of the Division Three Promotion Play Offs after their 53-7 home win over Bantry Bay. Rodi Healy scored two tries for Killorglin. Brian Hayes, Liam Foley, Kyle Byrne, Craig Bainbridge, Ben Bradley and Luke O’Shea got one each. O’Shea kicked two conversions and three penalties. Garreth Murphy replied with a try for Bantry and Andre Polivka converted.
