Dunmanway RFC Host Emerging Schools Blitz

Dunmanway RFC hosted an U15 Emerging Schools Blitz.

The 2019 Emerging Schools Blitzes have continued across the province during the month of October with blitzes introducing non-traditional rugby schools to the game.

In West Cork, an U15 Emerging Schools Blitz was held at Dunmanway RFC with over 50 players participating from Mount Saint Michael’s Secondary School of Rosscarbery and Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí.

The aim of the Emerging Schools Initiative is to engage with students, in non-traditional rugby schools, and provide them with the opportunity to play and experience rugby with the hope of students joining local clubs.

Munster Rugby Development Officers will continue to develop emerging schools throughout the province during November.

For further information about the Emerging Schools Blitzes, please contact your local Rugby Development Officer or email raygadsden@munsterrugby.ie
