Emerging Schools Blitz Day At Mahon

Munster Rugby are currently running blitz days throughout the province for Under 15 secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools.

Twelve teams took part in the one day event at Mahon with in excess of 200 players competing.

Schools that took part on the day Carragaline Community School, Midelton CBS ,St Colman's Midelton, St Colman's Fermoy, Davis College Mallow, Ballincollig Community School, Douglas Community School, Coláiste Choilm Ballincolllig, St Fanahans Mitchelstown and SMG Blarney.

The programme has been rolled out throughout the province and will continue over the next few weeks.

This initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club.
