Emerging Schools Blitz Days In Cork & Waterford

Munster Rugby are currently running blitz days throughout the province for Under 15 secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools.

Ard na Mara Tramore recently held the South/East blitz with teams representing the host school, Waterpark, De La Salle and Chathail Naofa secondary schools.

The Cork blitz took place in Mahon with a number of Cork schools taking part from Blarney, Crosshaven, Fermoy, Ballincollig, Mallow, Blarney and Mitchelstown.

The programme has been rolled out throughout the province and will continue over the next few weeks.

This initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club.
