Emerging Schools Continue To Blitz The Province

Midleton CBS, Coachford College, Ballincollig Community School and SMGS Blarney attended a blitz in Cork earlier today.

The Munster Rugby Development Department have continued to run Emerging Schools Blitzes across the province in recent weeks.

Emerging Schools from Limerick, Kerry, Waterford, Cork City and North Cork have all contributed to an extensive blitz programme.

Over 750 students have participated in the blitzes with 1st year students, and U15 & U17 squads showcasing their rugby skills in a fun environment.

An U17 Schools Blitz took place at Irish Independent Park earlier today.

The aim of the Emerging Schools Initiative is to engage with students, in non-traditional rugby schools, and provide them with the opportunity to play and experience rugby.

Munster Rugby Development Officers continue to develop emerging schools throughout the province.

Blitzes have also continued this week in Clare, Cork, Limerick and Kerry.
