Ennis RFC Host Concussion Workshop Tonight
9th December 2014 By Munster Rugby
Ennis RFC host a Concussion Awareness Workshop tonight at 7:30pm with places still available.
The Workshops are co-ordinated by the Munster Rugby Development Department, in conjunction with the IRFU.
Over 300 coaches, parents, players and referees have attended this season's four Concussion Awareness Workshops to date.
They have been running since last year and are free of charge with all club and school coaches and officials encouraged to attend.
Dr. Garrett Coughlan, the IRFU's Medical Co-ordinator, hosts all of the workshops which include modules relating to Concussion Recognition Management and Return to Play protocols followed by a Question and Answer session.
The content has been designed to educate coaches, parents, players and referees on the dangers of concussion and how to recognise it.
The workshops will continue into the new year in Clanwilliam and Limerick IT with a timetable below. Please contact janeburns@munsterrugby.ie to register your place at a workshop.
