Experimental Law Variation Workshops

26th June 2008 By Munster Rugby

Experimental Law Variation Workshops

From August 1 of this year, the International Rugby board will be implementing a 12-month global trial of 13 Experimental Law Variations (ELVs). All ELVs will be implemented by the Irish Rugby Football Union in professional and all domestic competition.

To facilitate a smooth implementation of the ELVs into the Irish rugby system, the IRFU, in conjunction with the Munster Branch, will be running education initiatives to up skill coaches and referees in the interpretation of the Law variations.

These initiatives will take place in the form of Workshops, in Cork and Limerick. A maximum of four representatives from each club are being invited to these workshops. It is recommended that a cross section from all areas of the club are in attendance at the workshop, eg. Director of Coaching, Adult, Youth and Women’s representatives.
