Falvey Names Women’s Squad For Interpro Finale

Munster Women will defend their Interprovincial title on Saturday, 5th September, at Thomond Park Stadium (kick-off 2.30pm) in a winner takes all finale against Leinster.
Munster Women’s Head Coach Wayne Falvey has named an unchanged side that secured an emphatic 43-0 win over Ulster last Saturday.
Munster Captain Niamh Briggs touched down to open the scoreboard after 10 minutes with tries to follow from Laura O’Mahony and Leah Lyons giving Munster a 17-0 lead at the half time mark.
Munster continued to dominate throughout the second half adding a further four tries to their tally from Niamh Kavanagh, Leah Lyons, Heather O’Brien and Chloe Pearse ensuring an eagerly anticipated showdown against their Leinster rivals.
Both sides remain undefeated in the series as Munster bid for their 11th title and two in a row under the management of Falvey.
