First Mini Girls Blitz Day A Big Success

On the all-weather pitch with Thomond Park in the background over 60 girls from across the province came together for the first Mini Girls day.

The groups were divided into U10’s and U12’s coordinated by Munster Rugby Officers Amanda Greensmith, Kenneth McNamara and Euan Gee as well as Munster Senior Women’s Player Dheirbhile Nic A Bhaird who put them through their paces throughout the day.

The focus of the day was fun and included small sided games concentrating on catch pass, evasion and decision making. The girls then took part in a blitz with each team playing four games.

There will be another Mini girls day in February and if your club wishes to participate please contact Women’s Development Officer Amanda Greensmith amandagreensmith@munsterrugby.ie
