Young Munster and Cork Constitution meet in the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup final.
Over a relatively quiet festive season, the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup decider and two Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup quarter-finals take centre stage.
Holders Cork Constitution and Young Munster lock horns in the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup decider at Irish Independent Park on Friday evening. This is the second meeting of these sides within a week as the Lilywhites recorded a narrow 16-15 victory over Young Munster in Limerick in Division 1A of the All Ireland League last Saturday.
It is also a repeat of the 2017 decider which the Temple Hill side won on a 14-0 score line to complete five-in-a-row. Cork Constitution will be aiming to win the trophy for the 30th time, while Young Munster are seeking their eighth title and their first since they defeated UCC in 2010.
Crosshaven and Kilfeacle, who contested last weekend’s All Ireland Junior Cup semi-finals, are in action in the quarter finals of the Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup.
Kilfeacle, who have qualified for their second All Ireland Junior Cup decider, travel to West Cork to take on Bandon. The winners will be away to Abbeyfeale in the semi-finals.
Crosshaven travel to Tipperary Town to go head to head with Clanwilliam and the winners will also be rewarded with a trip to West Limerick to take on Newcastle West.
