Further First Year Blitz In Tipperary

Last Wednesday afternoon saw a first year rugby school blitz at Nenagh Rugby Club for young players, some of whom getting their first taste of rugby with their respective schools.

A great mornings rugby took place and the standard and skills displayed by the 1st year students was absolutely outstanding. The blitz comprised of 15-a-side games with full pitch, with 3 games each consisting of 15 minutes halves, meaning the youngsters each enjoyed 90 minutes of rugby with breaks between each games.

Villiers College Limerick, CBS Nenagh, Nenagh College, and Roscrea College were the four schools who participated in the blitz, benefiting from the ongoing fantastic work by Munster’s Community Rugby Officers in the Tipperary region.
