The May Bank Holiday weekend saw a number of high-profile games taking place throughout Munster.
In the AIL, Shannon clinched promotion to Division 1A thanks to a 30-15 win over Naas at a raucous Coonagh.
In the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup final, Young Munster beat Thomond 35-24 at Takumi Park to win their ninth title and also secure a senior and junior double for the first time since 1984.
There was also a lot of action at interprovincial level as the Munster Junior side defeated their Ulster counterparts 39-17 at Tralee RFC. This sees John Lillis’ side enter the final round against Leinster this weekend with a chance of winning the title.
Finally, there was euphoric scenes in Dublin as the Munster U18 Girls 7s squad defeated Leinster 34-5 in the final on Saturday.
