Gerald Reidy Past President RIP

It was with great sadness that Munster Rugby learnt of the passing of Munster Branch Past President Gerald Reidy on Sunday last.
The Dolphin RFC club man earned the first of his 13 Munster Caps in 1949 at Thomond Park in a 6-3 victory over RAF and was on the second Munster team to win the Interprovincial Championship in 1952/53.
Gerald also represented Ireland winning the first of his five international caps against Wales in 1953.
He served as Munster Branch President for the 1975/1976 season and received the highest honour as President of the IRFU for the 1983/84 season.
Munster Rugby would like to extend their deepest sympathy to his wife Anne and children Tom, Michelle, Karen, Geraldine and Suzanne.
Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at his home, The Elms, Curraheen Road from 4-6pm today with reception to Church of the Real Presence at 7pm. Burial at St Finbarr's Cemetery following Mass at 12 noon tomorrow.
