Girls Blitz Days At St. Mary & Thomond Rugby Clubs
12th May 2016 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby recently held two girls blitz days for primary school pupils in Limerick.
Players from St. Patricks School and Presentation Primary School took part in the first one day event at St. Marys RFC coordinated by Munster Rugby Girls Participation Officer Kenneth McNamara.
The second blitz was held in Thomond RFC attended by pupils from Salesians, Mary Queen of Ireland Caherdavin and Gaelscoil Sairseal.
The emphasis on the day was on rugby introduction and player recruitment, however there was a noticeable improvement on skill levels and techniques from players that have competed in previous blitzes.
