Girls Rugby Gets Started At Clonakilty RFC

Girls Rugby has recently got underway at Clonakilty RFC in County Cork.

Over the last few weeks the girls section has continually grown with players taking part ranging between Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18 age grade.

Munster rugby recently hosted a workshop for the girls focusing on passing and continuity, coordinated by Community Rugby Officer Eugene McCarthy.

The majority of the girls are all new to the sport, however with many of them coming from various other sporting backgrounds their skill levels are adapting to rugby very quickly.

Girls training at Clonakilty Rugby Club is every Sunday at 11am. For more information please email ianrea@gmail.com or mob 085-1174138.

Should you require any details on Girls or Women's rugby within the province please email Women's Community Rugby Officer Amanda Greensmith by emailing amandagreensmith@munsterrugby.ie
